With long-term investments in the protection of water sources and in the improvement of capture and distribution services, Jundiaí has a comfortable position with regard to supply.

Safety
One of the safest cities in Brazil
The quality of life in Jundiaí can also be measured by its safety indexes. According to the IPEA Atlas of Violence (2019), which analyzes municipalities with more than 100,000 inhabitants, Jundiaí is the 6th safest city in the country and is the 1st among the 100,000 inhabitants.
And to maintain and even improve these indexes, the city has a modern camera monitoring system (OCR), which allows the reading of vehicle license plates, identifying whether any of them were stolen.
The Municipal Security Plan, in a work aligned with the forces of the Civil and Military Police, has programs such as Bairro Seguro , with two mobile bases, and Anjos da Guarda, which improved the school round and zeal for the security of the neighborhoods.

Preservation and Biodiversity
Jundiaí’s largest natural heritage, the Serra do Japi Biological Reserve is the city’s pride and an important tourist attraction.
Its preservation and biodiversity are symbols of municipal concern for sustainable development, with respect to natural resources.
In Serra do Japi, environmental education actions are also developed through the municipal education network, as well as other public policies aimed at the effective participation of the community.
Initiatives that guarantee the city the environmental seal “Green and Blue Municipality” (3rd place | 2016).

Jundiaí has several programs and services that contribute to the strengthening of the agricultural and agro-industrial sector, always focusing on the flow of production and local consumption, and in line with the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN 2030 Agenda.

Jundiaí agribusiness has characteristics that provide special conditions for the city to strengthen itself in the sustainable sector and expand public policies to support rural producers. It is the first municipality in Brazil that understands the importance of stimulating technologies that minimize the effects of climate change on agricultural production.
Tourism
Rural and cultural tourism, parks, gastronomy, wineries, and much more
Jundiaí offers diversified and organized tourist products on five routes: the Brown Route, the Italian Culture, the Wine Route, the Grape Route, the Newfoundland Route and the Historic Center.
Classified as a municipality of tourist interest by the Government of the State of SP, Jundiaí currently has more than 3,500 companies in this segment, which represents 7% of the total city.
Tourism in the city has increased in recent years, reaching more than one million visitors in 2019, a number that was repeated with the recovery of the sector in 2021.
Leisure tourism, with emphasis on rural tourism, gastronomic, cultural, ecotourism and ecotourism stand out, with more than 70% of visitors. In rural tourism, the most representative segment, Jundiaí has more than 60 attractions and the number of enterprises in the sector has been growing every year.
Jundiaí has a historical tradition of fruit production, beautiful rural landscapes, traditional culture in the neighborhoods, with the presence of italian immigrants and other nationalities, and values the preservation of the memory, history and know-how of the whole community.
The city received the Top Tourist Destination Award in the Rural Tourism category, from ADVB (Association of Sales and Marketing Managers of Brazil), in the last two editions of the event, in 2019 and 2021.
Culture
Actions that encourage art and culture
The culture of the municipality has received important investments. In 2022 only, more than R$ 2.2 million were allocated for artistic bodies, Visual Arts exhibitions and festivals such as the Jundiaí Theatre Festival (Festeju), Enredança and the Short Film Festival.
The maintenance of cultural spaces was maintained during the pandemic, taking advantage of the period in which the equipment remained closed. More than R$ 1.4 million were invested in the renovation of the centenary Polytheama Theater.
The Fepasa Complex, the only municipal heritage listed at the federal level by IPHAN, has also received several interventions, such as the creation of a large park area, without access to cars, in its historic wing.
Like the Cia. Jovem de Dança, resumed in 2018 with a young format, the other artistic, theater and music bodies, maintaining their professional nuclei, will also have a younger bias.
In 2022, the Orchestra will become Symphonic, with the addition of wind instruments to the string instruments already in its composition.
